Days 1-5: A wet frontal system transitioning to a low pressure trough stretches across central/south-central Brazil this week causing persistent rains ranging from 1 to near 3 in. Â
Days 6-10: Rains persist then drier late in the period. Near 3 in. northeast Mato Grosso to northern Minas Gerais and southern Bahia.
Days 11-15: The GFS operational model indicates wet weather for Mato Grosso Do Sul to Sao Paolo and south while areas to the north are dry. All other models indicate widespread drying. The consensus forecast is a much drier period after the next (wet) 10 days.

Week 3 (Nov. 19-25) and 4 (Nov. 26-Dec. 1) ahead: Expect wet weather to return due to the influence on Brazil climate of warmer than normal sea surface temperature anomalies in the south and southwest North Atlantic basin.
Argentina…Some rain northern sections otherwise mostly dry.
Days 1-5: Turning wet over north/northwest areas mid-to-late period with rainfall amounts in the 1-2 in. range. Briefly wet San Luis/southern Cordoba with a Tuesday cold front. Â
Days 6-10: Mostly dry the entire nation and trending warmer than normal.
Days 11-15: As Brazil goes drier marginally wet (0.50 to 1.50 in.) conditions develop far north and northwest Argentina.
