The Climate Impact Company week 2-4 forecast indicates a late season high latitude blocking pattern is ahead which will produce cool mid-latitude trough patterns into the U.S., Europe and West-central Russia. The upper trough pattern will cause western and central portions of Russia to be cooler than normal for much of mid-to-late May. Additionally, a showery nature to the weather pattern is persistent the entire 3 week timeframe. Included is potential heavy rainfall in southwest portions of Russia next week and steady wet weather in southwest Russia through most of May. Northern areas areĀ either wet or normally wet and cool.
