Pictured: Climate Impact Company week 2-4 precipitation anomaly forecast for Europe.
A vigorous upper trough across south/east Greenland inspires a storm track into coastal northwest Europe next week while most areas south of the storm track are generally dry. Wet weather may occur over far southeast Europe. Very warm temperatures south of the prevailing northwest Europe storm track next week. Later this month a prevailing ridge pattern emerges off the west coast of Europe with broad ridging in west portions of Russia. The pattern supports more anomalous warmth and there my be a showery regime stretching from southeastern Europe to the Baltic nations. More dryness and anomalous warmth in early August. June was hotter and generally drier than normal across southern Europe and expansion of this pattern eastward remains forecast for late summer.
