Comment: The super cold pattern retreats although the North-Central U.S. is quite cold. Storm track resides across the Central U.S. and much of it is snowfall. The South and East are warmer.

Last week was historically cold across the North-Central U.S. and colder than normal across the entire U.S. except Florida and the Southwest. Nationally, the pattern was mostly dry.
