Pictured: Climate Impact Company days 1-5, 6-10 and 11-15 rainfall anomaly forecasts for the U.S.
The outlooks maintain late last week’s forecast of a dry and warm ridge in the East while a cool and wet trough persists through the next 10+ days. The exceptions are tropical cyclone risks to the East featuring Hurricane Jose to the coastal Northeast this week and Hurricane Maria into the East in 9-10 days. The heavy precipitation in the Northwest the next 5 days remains expected to shift into the East in the 6-10 day period. The Central and East are very warm while the Mid-South and Texas are hot into next week. In the week 3-4 ahead forecast the West rewarms and Canada turns warmer than normal.
