Irma moves inland Florida/Southeast U.S. early next week bring heavy rainfall causing flooding. The rains eventually spread north along the East Coast. West of this wet zone the Great Plains are very dry in the 6-10 day period. A new upper trough pushes into the East in the week 3 ahead forecast causing a cool and showery regime across much of the East while still leaving the Great Plains drier than normal. In the extended-range the Great Plains is forecast warmer than normal.
