New Multivariate ENSO Index Used In Latest ENSO Outlook for 2019-20
Just-released by NOAA is the new multivariate ENSO index version 2. The MEI V2 analog forecast identifies the 2 (opposing) ENSO possibilities for later this year. Meanwhile in the 100-200 meter depth of teh equatorial Pacific Ocean the waters are cooling indicating El Nino warm water supply in the upper levels of teh ocean is in shorter supply.
