Today’s highlights include rapidly intensifying Marcus off the northwest coast of Australia, heavy rains northeast Argentina days 6-10 and a wetter pattern ahead in the U.S.
Highlights include more snow and cold for both the U.S. and Europe through late March while Argentina is dry this week but the 6-10 day period looks wet. Tropical Storm Marcus could become a category 4 tropical cyclone by midweek northwest to west of Australia.
The Climate Impact Company seasonal outlooks project a wet and cool spring followed by a dry and hot summer.
Dryness is likely across northeast Argentina into the winter season. There is a below normal risk of extreme cold during winter. ENSO is forecast to shift to neutral phase.
