Although Barry is inland and weakening there remains potential for a lot more rainfall some of which is into the southern Corn Belt early this week.
Barry is not a powerful tropical cyclone but the attendant rain is impressive.
After the remains of Barry are out of the picture – and that may take awhile – the northern U.S. should cool.
Northern warmth into late July fades in August shifting farther southward.
